Job Overview

Niles Precision Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Precision Grinder Technician to join our team in Niles, MI.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience working with manual and CNC grinding machines, with a strong background in surface grinders, ID/OD grinders, and other support equipment.

About the Role
  • Produce high-quality precision parts within quality and customer specifications (job shop).
  • Setup, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including surface grinders, ID/OD grinders, and centerless grinding machines.
  • Work independently from blueprints and drawings, using basic inspection and layout tools and methods to check setups and parts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., manufacturing, engineering).
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with conventional grinding of high-precision parts using manual and CNC grinding machines.
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T and geometric tolerancing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
