This Precision Machinist position is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Niles Precision Co., Inc. in Niles, MI.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced machinist to support our current production for machined parts in small lots and/or high precision. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with conventional equipment, including surface grinders, OD/ID grinders, and other support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce precision machined parts to print within quality and customer specifications (job shop)
  • Operate surface grinders, ID/OD grinders, and other machine tools
  • Setup and operate manual OD/ID grinders with ease
  • Inspect and check setups and parts using basic inspection and layout tools and methods
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in conventional grinding of high-precision parts using manual and CNC grinding machines
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience with setting up and operating manual OD/ID grinders
  • Efficient, reliable, and organized work style
  • Able to provide high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States
