Phlebotomist II Float Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II Float to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our Patient Service Center, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare specimens for lab testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and splitting.
- Research test/client information and verify written and electronic orders.
- Enter data accurately, including patient registration, test orders, and billing information.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
- Lift light to moderately heavy objects.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Extensive use of phone and PC.
- Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
- Committed to all Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
