As a key member of the DKN Hotel Group, the Bartender plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests.

$16.00 per hour

Core Responsibilities

The Bartender's essential functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Exhibit a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor while providing personalized service to patrons.
  • Engage in effective communication with guests and fellow staff members.
  • Proactively serve guests, offering recommendations and promoting additional sales.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with skill and creativity.
  • Handle all cash and credit transactions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure the bar area is well-stocked with garnishes, mixers, ice, and necessary tools.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in inventory management and restocking supplies.
  • Prepare the bar for the next shift by organizing beverages and mixers.
  • Complete closing procedures and generate reports at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar surfaces, tables, chairs, and stools at all times.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Report any lost items or damages to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Support fellow team members and departments to enhance overall performance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Deliver a welcoming and comfortable experience for all guests.

Supervisory Role

No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position.

Decision-Making Authority

Regularly exercises independent judgment within the framework of DKN Hotels' policies and procedures.

Work Environment

This role is primarily situated in a restaurant bar setting, with access to kitchen facilities and cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience being ideal. Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding alcohol service is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

Fluency in English or bilingual capabilities are required. Proficiency in operating a cash register and performing basic mathematical calculations is essential. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are necessary. Reliability and dependability are crucial attributes.

Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and lifting. The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. unassisted is necessary. Exposure to cleaning agents is expected.
