Role Overview:
As a member of Ample, you will engage with a visionary team focused on creating a substantial impact on the environment. In the position of LICENSED ELECTRICIAN at Ample, you will be responsible for planning and executing electrical installations for facility enhancements, battery swapping station setups, and troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of existing systems. Your role will be vital in helping Ample expand its battery swapping services across various regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting fixtures.
- Set up new power circuits and connections for facilities and project equipment.
- Plan, source materials for, and carry out 480 VAC electrical installations to energize Ample swapping stations, including procuring and installing all necessary components (wires, conduits, panels, disconnects, transformers, etc.).
- Provide guidance on electrical conduit routing and equipment layouts for the development of site plans and schematics, collaborating with local authorities to obtain permits and facilitate inspections.
- Support Ample's field service and deployment teams with electrical troubleshooting and repairs as required.
- Interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Conduct general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical apparatus.
- Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing instruments.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
- Advise Ample on electrical code implications and alternatives.
- Maintain a solid understanding of heating and air conditioning systems along with various testing equipment.
- Travel to Ample facilities and deployment sites as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical field.
- Valid general electrician certification in California.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrician degree from a recognized technical institution.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
