Position Summary: The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Faculty Member for Lab/Clinical - Pediatrics. In this role, you will engage in program instruction that integrates innovative teaching methods, advanced technologies, and current industry trends relevant to nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance theoretical knowledge by teaching in clinical and laboratory settings.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty to assess and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
- Participate in evaluating written assignments and clinical/lab performance assessments.
- Maintain open communication with program faculty and attend selected faculty meetings.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in pediatric nursing.
- Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards.
- Promote the holistic principles of nursing and uphold the university's core values.
Travel Requirements: This position necessitates travel to various clinical sites to observe student performance during scheduled rotations.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
- A minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience.
- An active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Utah or a compact state.
- Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
- Demonstrated involvement in professional nursing organizations, research, or publications.
- Successful completion of a drug screening is mandatory.
- Commitment to supporting the university's doctrinal and ethical standards.
