Position Overview:

The Float Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery across various locations. This position involves assisting medical professionals in providing quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the clinics.

Core Duties:
  • Support healthcare providers in patient care activities.
  • Conduct physical assessments, including measuring blood pressure and recording vital signs.
  • Travel to designated sites to assist regional clinics as needed.
  • Administer prescribed medications and vaccines.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms for patient visits.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver general patient care in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs.
  • Collect blood samples and ensure proper preparation for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as per physician orders.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic tests, including EKGs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient care plans and outcomes.
  • Complete safety checklists to ensure a secure environment.
  • Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma along with Medical Assistant certification.
  • Preferred one year of relevant experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is essential.
  • For Float Pool assignments, a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various locations are required.
