Job Title: Electrical Tester

Teledyne is seeking a skilled Electrical Tester to join our team. As an Electrical Tester, you will be responsible for conducting procedural tests on production products, ensuring high quality standards and workmanship, and maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all departments within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting procedural tests on production products, including incoming material needed to support customer needs
  • Responsible for understanding and using all test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures
  • Maintaining security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control
  • Notify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Responsible for completing documentation (shop packs, quality test reports) accurately and timely
  • Responsible for entering data into the ERP system accurately and timely
  • Maintaining high quality standards and workmanship
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Communicating special tooling needed to perform operations that may have not been identified
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum of 2 Years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to use basic high school math skills
  • Two-year technician degree or equivalent
  • Experience/training with basic electricity
  • Experience handling fiber optic related product
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to use test equipment needed to perform tasks (Meggers, Ohm-meters)
  • Ability to use optical test equipment
  • Computer Literate Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed
  • Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and procedures

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Daily computer usage
  • Repetitive motions
Work Environment:
  • Production Floor Environment

  • Safety Glasses required at all times
  • Steel Tip Safety Shoes
