Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a designated service. As a NP, you will perform physical examinations, conduct assessments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination, consistent with department protocol.
  • Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status.
  • Consult with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
  • Participate with physicians and other clinicians in the department to ensure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators.
  • Establish and maintain communication with other healthcare providers and departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a nurse practitioner.
  • One (1) year (within the past three (3) years) experience as a NP providing specialized care for dermatological conditions, including the prescribing of condition-specific therapies.
  • Masters Degree in Nursing (unless already a Kaiser Permanente employee who was grandfathered in prior to California Business and Professions Code requirement in January 1, 2008).
  • Completion of a Masters Program in Adult NP, Family Practice NP, or Pediatric NP required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California), Registered Nurse License (California), Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California), and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level I required.
