T-Mobile's Collections Platform and Configurations Organization is on the lookout for a Credit Risk Management Lead who is:
- Skilled in leading a team of technical professionals within an agile development framework;
- Proficient in crafting business and technical requirements, designing at a technical level, configuring, implementing, and testing strategies within collections decision engines;
- Knowledgeable in functional specification documents, technical deployments, and inter-system relationships (experience in Credit and Collections processes/systems is advantageous);
- Experienced in resource planning for enterprise projects with a strong grasp of project deliverables, timelines, and budget considerations;
- Adept in quality assurance and user acceptance testing protocols (experience with JIRA is a plus);
- Capable of developing materials and presenting information to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a robust understanding of industry best practices and a proven ability to creatively and practically resolve a variety of challenges.
This individual will also have a track record of delivering results in a dynamic and adaptable environment, along with the capability to nurture and develop strong team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead the team to achieve objectives by providing clear direction, timely feedback, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Monitor and assess work tasks to ensure deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
- Manage technical relationships with both internal and external teams, including advocating for features and functionality in future capability releases.
- Cultivate an environment where team members proactively identify issues and risks, continuously reviewing key business initiatives to find optimal solutions.
- Drive ongoing improvements in development practices across technical disciplines (e.g., team structure, roles, processes, tools, security, and compliance).
- Communicate business strategies, expectations, and challenges effectively to inspire action within the assigned team.
- Provide strategic guidance and prioritize project efforts.
- Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Build trusted relationships with all levels of leadership and support teams.
- Facilitate positive and effective team dynamics.
- Resolve operational and interdepartmental challenges swiftly.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure business initiatives, technology roadmaps, communications, training, change management, and vendor management are well-supported.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Work Experience:
4-7 years of industry experience in technical deployments, understanding technical process flows, and managing high-performing teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Problem Solving - Creativity and the ability to derive insightful conclusions (Required).
Communication:
- Ability to manage relationships, influence, and convey complex logic and solutions clearly and concisely at the executive level, providing decision support, analysis, and recommendations that drive effective execution of business strategies.
