Salary & Benefits

This role comes with an estimated annual salary range of $173,500 - $212,500, commensurate with experience and location (Denver: $152,000 - $188,000; New York/San Francisco: $178,000 - $220,000). The compensation package includes opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.

Job Description

This key position within the Compensation Team will play a vital role in shaping Gusto's talent acquisition and retention strategies. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation programs that drive employee performance and satisfaction.
  • Leading cutting-edge research on market trends and industry benchmarks to inform compensation decisions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective communication strategies and ensure seamless program execution.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years of experience in compensation, with 2+ years in a leadership position.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful compensation strategies in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive market pay practices, as well as pre-IPO equity vehicles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
