Behavioral Health Technician

About the RoleThe Behavioral Health Technician plays a crucial role in our residential treatment setting. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for general client supervision, milieu management, and program operations.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure Facility Security: Continuously monitor the grounds and facility to maintain a secure environment.
- General Client Supervision: Oversee daily living activities and program operations to ensure a smooth functioning of the facility.
- Documentation and Administration: Prepare reports, make copies of necessary paperwork, and place documentation in client files.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Ensure all scheduled activities occur at specified times and coordinate with clients and staff as needed.
- Maintenance and Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, including outdoor areas.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Be culturally sensitive to the populations we serve.
- Knowledge of Substance Abuse: Have knowledge of substance abuse and treatment, desired but not required.
- Judgment and Discretion: Exercise good judgment and discretion in your work.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Adhere to the highest standard of ethical conduct, particularly confidentiality standards.
- Residential Social Service Experience: One year of experience in a residential social service setting, providing services to the criminal justice/substance abusing population, or equivalent experience and education combined.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required.
- Documentation and Multitasking: Good documentation skills and ability to multitask.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 - $50,000 per annum, based on experience, plus benefits. This includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
