Prepare jobs for production.
Supervise the training, development, evaluation, and performance assessments of shift personnel.
Execute administrative tasks as necessary, including initiating personnel action forms, drafting counseling documents, processing vacation requests, and generating any other required reports.
Consistently monitor quality and production, making informed decisions to uphold maximum efficiency while maintaining high standards.
Coordinate with Maintenance for scheduled downtimes and repairs to achieve necessary maintenance tasks with minimal operational disruptions.
Forecast equipment utilization for upcoming orders.
Assign personnel to production lines.
Ensure proper setups and quality inspections.
Examine finished products for quality issues and implement corrective measures as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and confirm that all employees have their personal protective equipment (PPE) available and are using it appropriately.
Provide guidance to employees regarding work performance, attendance, safety, or other concerns as necessary.
Organize workflows for seamless operations.
Must be adaptable and flexible.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to operate independently.
Prior supervisory experience is essential.
Able to function in a production setting, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
Effective communication skills with co-workers regarding issues and activities.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and accurately interpret a tape measure.
Capable of physical mobility. Over a 12-hour shift, the employee will pull and drag sheets of plastic, rearrange and organize products, grasp and pull items during the production process, and perform cleaning duties on the production floor.
