Key Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will adeptly cultivate and sustain professional relationships with leading healthcare providers and key decision-makers regarding the Client's offerings.
  • This role involves delivering presentations and engaging in strategic dialogues concerning medical/clinical data, health economics, and outcomes research related to Client products with healthcare professionals, including physicians, researchers, medical directors, and formulary committees.
  • The selected candidate will take on a mentorship role, guiding and training new or less experienced MSLs, while also managing special projects as they arise.
  • The contributions of a Senior MSL to the organization encompass the following:
Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of an advanced terminal degree in medical or biosciences (e.g., M.D., PhD, PharmD, DPH, EdD).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL in the oncology field.
  • Knowledge of disease state management, particularly in breast cancer and other malignancies, is preferred.
  • Comprehensive scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, along with exceptional presentation and instructional skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with the Client's therapeutic area and confidence in discussing various drug indications and disease management.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical corporate landscape and an appreciation for the strategic interests of Commercial Operations, including Marketing and Sales.
  • Awareness of the roles and contributions of Medical Science Liaisons and Medical and Scientific Affairs.
  • Capability to inspire and lead team members without direct reporting authority.
  • Established connections with key opinion leaders in the relevant therapeutic area.
  • Proven ability to analyze issues and think strategically.

Additional Insights:

  • Proficient computer skills, including word processing, slide creation, and spreadsheet management.
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy is advantageous.
