Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing team of experts. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the tools used to develop, deploy, monitor, and support our cloud infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement tools used to develop, deploy, monitor, and support cloud infrastructure and services.
    • Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of cloud solutions.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
    • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources and applications using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and other solutions.
    • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations along with other CloudOps team members.
  • Cost Optimization
    • Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Process Automation
    • Automate and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reliability of cloud operations.
  • Monitoring Tools
    • Develop, configure, and deploy monitoring tools and scripts for applications and systems.
  • Incident Resolution
    • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents while collaborating with the Support, Engineering, and IT teams to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
    • Provide timely technical guidance and support to internal and external customers on cloud-related issues.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 3+ years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), software engineering, or systems administration.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud and hosted platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of Azure services, such as App Services, Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Storage, Key Vault, etc.
    • Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, Cake, SQL, T-SQL, C#, Python, JavaScript, or other scripting and development languages.
    • Capable of identifying and configuring KPIs in monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Sumo Logic, Seq, Zabbix, etc.
    • Well-versed in DevOps concepts, security principles, best practices, and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Octopus, TeamCity, etc.
    • Experience with networking, DNS, VPC, database operations, and concepts.
    • Development experience with creating tools and consoles for monitoring, managing, and supporting SaaS or PaaS products is a plus.
    • Experience with Windows Server, Linux operating systems (especially Ubuntu), and related applications such as Docker and Kubernetes, etc.
    • A plus for knowledge of or experience with MongoDB, Tomcat, SharePoint, or Dynamics.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
