MRRL Project Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scientist to join our team at the Magnetic Resonance Research Laboratories (MRRL) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of principal investigators to develop, lead, and support research projects in quantitative body and cancer MRI, MR spectroscopy, cardiovascular MRI, MRI-guided interventions, and artificial intelligence for MRI.

• Lead research projects and collaborate with a diverse team of investigators and trainees to advance research projects in the UCLA MRRL.
• Design, implement, and test novel MRI pulse sequences for research and clinical translation.
• Design, implement, and test novel imaging protocols and image processing/analysis methods for research studies.
• Author scientific publications and grant proposals.
• Establish and maintain research infrastructure, including computer systems, storage devices, and software environments.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures and best practices for research projects.
• Supervise doctoral and postdoctoral trainees and staff members in the MRRL.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MR physics, image analysis, and research methodology. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
