MRRL Project Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team at the Magnetic Resonance Research Laboratories (MRRL) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of principal investigators to develop, lead, and support research projects in quantitative body and cancer MRI, MR spectroscopy, cardiovascular MRI, MRI-guided interventions, and artificial intelligence for MRI.

• Lead research projects and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance research projects in the UCLA MRRL.
• Design, implement, and test novel MRI pulse sequences and imaging protocols for research and clinical translation.
• Author scientific publications and grant proposals.
• Establish and maintain research infrastructure, including computer systems, storage devices, and software environments.
• Supervise doctoral and postdoctoral trainees and staff members in the MRRL.
• Train and mentor MRRL members in MR physics concepts and data analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI physics, image processing, and quantitative image analysis. A Ph.D. in a relevant field and experience in research and development of MRI techniques are required. The candidate should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
