Overview

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant who will act in accordance with Florida Statutes for the Nurse Practitioners Act. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and management of critically ill infants requiring hospitalization in a level IV neonatal intensive care unit.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage neonates and infants requiring care in the neonatal intensive care unit
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with ancillary staff and family
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and immediately stabilize critically ill neonates under the supervision of the attending Neonatologist
  • Document all orders, procedures, and progress notes on the patient's medical record
  • Perform procedures necessary for the care of neonates and infants in the intensive care unit including endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, PICC line placement, lumbar punctures, and peripheral arterial lines

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing: ARNP training; Florida License
  • BLS/AED certification is required and must be maintained
  • At least 2-5 years of experience evaluating pediatric patients (2 year experience assessing neonates preferred)

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
