Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of state-of-the-art industrial brushes and related machinery. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation, improve existing products, and develop new solutions that meet market demands and customer needs while optimizing machinery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Employ CAD software (such as Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD) to produce detailed designs and technical schematics for both new and existing products.
  • Prototype Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct evaluations to confirm design concepts, ensuring they meet functionality, performance, and reliability standards.
  • Machine Improvement Design: Lead initiatives to enhance existing manufacturing machinery and equipment, concentrating on improving efficiency, reliability, and safety. Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize tooling and performance of current products.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate the seamless transition of designs into production, addressing any design-related challenges that may arise.
  • Product Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine existing products through design modifications and enhancements to align with evolving market trends and industry benchmarks.
  • Documentation: Assist in the creation of comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and engineering standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally within manufacturing, industrial equipment, metals, plastics, or a related sector. Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD) and familiarity with additional engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an emphasis on innovation and ongoing improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
