Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of advanced industrial brushes and related machinery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve existing products, develop new solutions that meet market demands, and enhance machine tooling and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Employ CAD software (such as Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD) to produce detailed designs and technical schematics for both new and existing products.
  • Prototype Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to confirm design concepts, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Machine Improvement Design: Lead initiatives to enhance existing manufacturing machinery and equipment, focusing on boosting efficiency, reliability, and safety. Drive continuous improvement efforts for machine tooling and performance of current products.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate the seamless transition of designs into production, addressing any design-related challenges that may emerge.
  • Product Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine existing products through design modifications and enhancements to align with changing market needs and industry standards.
  • Documentation: Assist in the preparation of comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and engineering standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally within manufacturing, industrial equipment, metals, plastics, or a related field. Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD) and familiarity with other engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills for successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
