About the Role:

The Category Sourcing Manager will be responsible for driving strategic procurement activities, evaluating existing and new suppliers, negotiating supplier contracts, and managing supplier relationships within their assigned categories. This role will report to the Head of General Procurement for North America and will be responsible for implementing General Purchasing best practices within the North America Area.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Define and Execute Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement short, medium, and long-term plans to deliver continuous improvement and value in cost, service, working capital, innovation, and processes while maintaining compliance with company guidelines.
  • Support Regionalization Efforts: Collaborate with regional teams to consolidate spend, implement regional initiatives, evaluate suppliers, and consolidate suppliers.
  • Lead Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure maximum value while considering total cost of ownership, service, and quality.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to generate value for both Ferrero and the suppliers over time.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Analyze and monitor market trends, supplier landscape, and innovation/trends for respective categories.
  • Align with Internal Customers: Ensure proper alignment with internal customers on business needs.
  • Manage Contract Coverage: Track and monitor efficiencies reached on categories managed to deliver company objectives for year-to-year improvement.
  • Support Purchase Order Management: Assist with purchase order management and vendor data management activities as required.
  • Implement Compliance: Ensure compliance of Group/Local Policies and Procedures and ensure Process Governance.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
  • Mastery of purchasing techniques, including the 7-step process, procurement category management, vendor segmentation, negotiating skills, RFI, RFQ, budgeting, market analysis, risk management, and price management.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analysis in Excel, including vlookup, pivot tables, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP Ariba is preferred.
  • Experience in a cross-cultural/international organization is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Legal, or similar.
  • Professional Certification in CPM, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, or similar is preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate and implement change with internal budget owners, peers, senior management, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel
