Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to contribute to our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preoperative and postoperative care, with a passion for providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PreOp and PACU areas.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including assessing vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and ensuring informed consent.
  • Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia, manage pain, and address any postoperative complications.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about postoperative care and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols.

Required Skills

  • Current RN license in VA
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PreOp and PACU nursing
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
