Job Overview

Position Objective:
The primary responsibility is to ensure the maintenance of all treatment equipment essential for producing high-quality potable water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of water treatment machinery, which includes regular calibrations of chemical feed systems, scheduled oil changes, and lubrication of mechanical components.
  • Conduct alignment checks on rotating machinery and perform wear and tolerance assessments on pump impellers, seals, packing, and bearings.
  • Identify the causes of equipment malfunctions and determine the most efficient solutions to restore functionality promptly.
  • Engage with suppliers of hardware, plumbing, electrical components, machine shops, bearing distributors, electric motor repair services, chemical feeder suppliers, and oil vendors.
  • Provide instruction to Operators regarding the proper use of all treatment equipment and assist with minor maintenance or adjustments.
  • Maintain a detailed database on each mechanical asset at the treatment facility, booster stations, and wells to monitor service schedules and maintain a comprehensive history of equipment performance.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with water treatment processes and procedures.
Understanding of mechanical systems necessary for effective water treatment.
Knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, industrial electricity, and basic electronics.

Required Certifications and Training:
Additional technical training is preferred.
