Position OverviewThe Economist/Financial Reviewer is responsible for conducting financial feasibility assessments related to loan and grant administration and performing various financial analyses pertinent to environmental and business documentation as specified in task orders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in finance or a related business discipline, along with a minimum of two years of experience in economic or financial analysis.
Key Qualifications- Master's or Ph.D. degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in economic analysis, financial review, or similar roles, preferably within the public sector or federal agencies.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and financial evaluation techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity pricing, farm economics, and rural development issues.
- Familiarity with USDA programs, policies, and regulations concerning agriculture, food, nutrition, or rural development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex economic and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with financial management systems, budgeting processes, and financial reporting requirements.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards in financial and economic analysis.
- Teamwork: Ability to foster collaborative teamwork as both a participant and a leader.
- Leadership: Capacity to guide and lead colleagues on projects and initiatives.
