Job Summary

RPM Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely preparation of apartment units for re-lease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows a comprehensive make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, as directed by the Supervisor or manager.
  • Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and performs touch-up paint.
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks.
  • Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding being wasteful with supplies.
  • Assists with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, performing general cleaning, and painting, as needed.
  • Complies with safety and risk-management policies by participating in the safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety-related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Delivers a high level of customer service by treating residents and others with respect and completing assigned work with efficiency and urgency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferred.
  • General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
  • HVAC experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment

This role is based on-site primarily indoors but may require that the employee spend some time outside with exposure to the elements. May require working in confined spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous areas.
