Job Summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for performing measurements, cutting, and assembly of metal manufacturing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
  • Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately to ensure high-quality products.
  • Clean and inspect welding equipment and tools regularly to maintain optimal performance.
  • Determine correct gas ratios and test the strength of joins during and after project completion.
  • Diagnose issues and troubleshoot as required to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor as production needs require.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
  • AWS Certification required.
  • 2+ years experience in structural welding.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and work under minimal supervision.
  • Computer literacy and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
