About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Technician to join our team at ENGIE North America Inc. as a key member of our Solar Site operations. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar generation sites, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar panels, electrical systems, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
  • Collaborate with the site manager and other technicians to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve system performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies and outages.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in solar generation sites, wind generation sites, manufacturing, or mining operations.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical systems, including AC/DC electrical theory, reading blueprints and schematics, and industrial electrical equipment.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification as a substation technician within 12 months of hire date.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record.
