Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Northwest Primary Care. This is a 4-day per week, full-time position in our busy Family Practice clinic.

This role involves providing patient care activities to assist Primary Care physicians in delivering high-quality care to our patients. As a Medical Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient experiences.

  • Administrative tasks, such as preparing examination rooms, documenting patient information, and handling phone calls.
  • Assisting physicians with medical procedures, including taking vital signs, performing basic laboratory tests, and assisting with treatments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide general medical assistant care to patients, as directed by protocols and under the supervision of licensed physicians.
  • Communication: Respond to phone calls, communicate effectively with patients, and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Participate in all required meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Professional Development: Maintain knowledge of medical assistant theory, practice, and organizational policies to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant Certification: Obtain certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Education and Training: Possess basic computing skills, including keyboarding and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
