Job Opportunity

FAR Inspections is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.

As an independent contractor, you will earn predictable full-time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but an ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines is crucial.

Responsibilities
  • Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment
  • Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards
  • Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments
  • Complete a short form in an app
  • Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory
Requirements
  • Computer with an internet connection
  • Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus)
  • Smartphone (Android or iPhone)
  • Printer
  • Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license
Compensation
  • This is a 1099 position
  • Each inspection has a flat rate, which varies based on county and volume
  • You will earn the equivalent of $20-$30 per hour
  • No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection
