Overview:

The Packaging Machine Operator, also known as the Packaging Technician, plays a crucial role in the staging of products, setting up machinery, and ensuring the efficient operation of filling machines. This position involves working collaboratively within a team to manage the filling and packaging processes of dairy products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup, troubleshoot, and operate automated filling and packaging machinery.
  • Manually load packaging materials such as cups, foil, and shippers.
  • Stage packaging supplies using pallet jacks.
  • Conduct and document production and quality control checks.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of packaging equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Adhere to food safety and quality protocols.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude; experience in maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience in packaging machine operation and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail in machine operation and product quality.
  • Ability to understand and comply with GMP and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a food or dairy production setting is preferred.

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications, with entry-level positions starting at $20/hr.

Shifts:

Available on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
