Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Social Work at Texas A&M University - Commerce. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work with at least 18 graduate hours in the field, or a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Prior teaching experience, online or hybrid teaching experience, and evidence of teaching excellence are highly desirable.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching up to seven semester credit hours, developing and managing the class syllabus, planning and creating lectures, assessing grades, and assisting/mentoring students as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work with at least 18 graduate hours in the field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education / Skills / Experience
  • Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials
  • College or University teaching experience
  • Evidence of teaching excellence
  • Prior relevant industry experience
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience
