About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team at Bluebird Hunter Lodge. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact with colleagues and management to ensure seamless kitchen operations and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Station Management: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food products meet quality standards and are stored and handled properly.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and chef's knives.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Assist with setup and breakdown of the kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing workstations and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience as a line cook in a similar property or culinary school, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
