Job Title: Material Handler II

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler II to join our team at Dal-Tile, a leading manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler II will be responsible for operating various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to the packing station or shipping area. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to the packing station or shipping area.
  • Perform a variety of warehouse duties, including pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays, move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
  • Perform receiving duties, including receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns, and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
  • Operate forklift equipment and maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules and reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
  • 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack.

  • Good listening skills.
  • Accurate measurement capability.
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English.
  • Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
