Material Handler/Driver II

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Material Handler/Driver II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of aerospace hardware and equipment to and from various work centers or departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate compliance with work orders and efficient movement of parts, materials, consumables, tooling, and equipment.
- Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center.
- Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement.
- Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling, and routing sheet persistence with hardware throughout plant movement.
- Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate.
- Contribute to a zero-defect philosophy by raising observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process.
- Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers.
- Participate in production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership.
- Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to the development/refinement of queuing software.
- Move hardware safely to all locations in the surrounding area, including driving a 26' box truck to warehouse, production, and testing facilities, and securing loads within the vehicle.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
- Willingness to use powered lifting equipment, jib, crane, or hoists.
- Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries.
- Experience in organizing files and documents.
