Nuclear Medicine Technologist

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a Per Diem/Relief basis.
About the Role:This position offers scheduling flexibility and a competitive hourly rate of pay, with differential in lieu of benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures, integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
- Apply the ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, staff, and patient.
- Evaluate patients for pregnancy and/or breastfeeding prior to exams as indicated.
- Operate computer and nuclear medicine equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and perform quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
- Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol.
- Maintain records of receipt, dispensing, and disposal of radioactive materials, as well as equipment quality control, radiation monitoring, and surveys.
- Perform other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with caregiver's scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.
- Accredited Program Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year prior experience preferred.
- Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
- PACS/RIS knowledge.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification by NMTCB and/or ARRT-N.
- Washington state Radiologic Technologist licensure.
- Basic Life Support through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
