Job Summary:

PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled Supervisor Imaging Ultrasound to join our team. As a key member of our Imaging Department, you will be responsible for monitoring the overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, and ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the overall services and develop quality and performance indicators.
  • Ensure continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources.
  • Staffing and scheduling.
  • Link mission into day-to-day work and focus on meeting organization/departmental targets.
  • Monitor budget variances and recommend or develop plans for improvement.
  • Assure regulatory compliance.
  • Recommend selection of staff and monitor and evaluate performance and accountability of staff.
  • Evaluate competence and initiate performance improvement plans to develop staff.
  • Provide meaningful and constructive feedback and initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Work with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services and operations of the department.
  • Communicate and teach new policies and procedures to staff.
  • Promote problem identification, facilitate resolution, and follow up and communicate as necessary.
  • Provide input and assist on operational and capital budgets and participate in budget planning and monitoring.
  • Have basic knowledge of multiple imaging modalities including CT, US, MRI, X-ray, Special Procedures/Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Lab, Nuclear Medicine, PET, and Mammography as applicable.
  • Responsible for selection, training, and performance for compliance with accreditation, legal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison for physicians and staff.
  • May perform the duties of an Imaging Technologist consistent with license/registration/certification as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Associate of Science Required in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in area of licensure required.
  • Previous leadership training and experience preferred.
  • Required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications as well as clinical applications.
