At Tokyo Electron, we are seeking a highly skilled EHS Engineer to join our team. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Responsibilities:- Manage environmental programs and audits, including ISO 14001 for two sites.
- Ensure environmental permits are kept up to date, monitoring is performed, and annual reports are completed.
- Manage all aspects of the site hazardous waste and recycling programs.
- Develop and lead the site ERT program and create/deploy training to all participating members.
- Conduct other EHS training that may include respiratory training and fit testing, fall protection, control of hazardous energies, qualified electrical worker, and ergonomics.
- Research and apply regulatory and industry safety codes, such as OSHA, NFPA, NEC, SEMI, and ANSI.
- Perform regular site inspections with members of the management team, which includes coaching on safe behaviors.
- Conduct detailed ergonomic analyses by collecting and interpreting data from employees and work environments, use various tools to evaluate risk, and collaborate with teams to propose and develop realistic solutions.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis to drive system improvements.
- Support the development of engineering and administrative controls to mitigate risk.
- Cultivate internal and external customer relationships that drive implementation of safety systems or improvements that promote safe work habits.
- Review and update EHS policies, procedures, and best known methods (BKMs) throughout the organization.
- A minimum of 3 years of EHS experience.
- CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM, CPE certification is a plus.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, chemistry, biology, industrial hygiene, safety, or closely related field.
- Strong preference for EHS experience at a semiconductor equipment manufacturing facility.
- Must have the ability to work independently and have excellent interpersonal communication and written skills.
- Dependable, stable under pressure, and can easily adapt to change.
- Job duties may be performed in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places.
- Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required.
- May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing and use of PPE.
- Travel less than 25% may be required to support a second site in the U.S.
