Job Title: Enrichment Center Instructor-Special Needs-IDD

We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven professional to join our team as an Enrichment Center Instructor-Special Needs-IDD at Hazelwood Center. As an Instructor, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About the Role:

The Enrichment Center Instructor provides active treatment programs to enhance the lives of our clients. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing client-specific lesson plans
  • Authoring long-term goals and objectives
  • Planning client events, such as birthday parties and holiday events
  • Providing transportation to community outings, employment, or volunteer opportunities
  • Teaching skills to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Completing assessments and software knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and email
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • The ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • The ability to pass a background and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:

One year of experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and/or mental health is preferred.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, with days and hours of work typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional flex hours, evening, and/or weekend work may be required.
