As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Novant Health, you will play a vital role in assisting radiologists and neurointerventionalists with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures under the supervision of radiologists and neurointerventionalists.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic angiographic procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare patients for procedures, position them correctly, and remain at their bedside throughout the procedure.
• Report any changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and provide education to patients and families regarding procedures.
• Administer contrast media according to established protocols and document procedural information.
• Perform related duties such as cleaning work areas, replenishing supplies, and reporting equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
• Registered Radiology Tech credential
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• 1-2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology technologist, preferred
• Demonstrates standards of performance that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence
