Meat Cutter

Job Summary:

Cut, trim, tenderize, and grind meat using various equipment in the Meat Department at Chavez Supermarket. Reassemble and maintain equipment for daily use, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Clean and sanitize the work area and equipment throughout the workday, adhering to strict health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with wrapping meat, stocking the meat case, and arranging the display case to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked meat department.
• Assess production needs and rotate merchandise to maintain a fresh and diverse selection of meats for customers.
• Follow proper safety procedures and standards, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company protocols.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual skill (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in a meat department or related field is an asset.

Compensation:

Pay rate is based on level of skill and experience.
