Job Opportunity

Craftsmen Contractors LLC is seeking skilled Welding Technicians/Structural Fabricators to join our team at a manufacturing and equipment installation facility in the region. This is a temporary to permanent position, requiring a face-to-face interview, welding test, and background check.

Compensation: $22 - $30.80 per hour, depending on experience. No per diem is offered.

Job Responsibilities
  • Weld steel structures, telecommunications shelters, skids, and other products, as well as plant operations.
  • Read blueprints for specifications.
  • Weld all necessary components, including floors, walls, and roofs, as specified in blueprints.
  • Weld all mechanical components as required.
  • Perform all welding and fabrication tasks in the plant, as specified by the supervisor.
  • Use a grinder to smooth welds.
Requirements
  • Previous welding experience with MIG flux core wire.
  • Ability to pass a 1G and 3G x-rayed vertical weld test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability to communicate written and orally.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good motor skills and hand-eye coordination for accuracy in welding.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Job requires clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses, for inspection and repair.
  • Color determination is required for identifying paint colors and wires.
  • Employee is exposed to seasonal temperatures.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (7-year history, no felonies), drug screen (10-panel), and face-to-face interview/weld test before hiring.
