Job Summary:

Equiliem Healthcare is seeking a skilled CT Technologist/Radiology Specialist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex CT procedures, including preparing patients for scanning and administering contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Review patient prescriptions to verify appropriateness of exams and communicate with radiologists and referring physicians to obtain additional clinical information or new prescriptions.
  • Responsible for verifying insurance authorized exam scripts and sending exam modification forms to finance for insurance re-verification.
  • Obtain outside studies (CD) and schedule them in EPIC to ensure availability in PACS for comparison by radiologists.
  • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians and/or family members.
  • Evaluate radiographs using PACS System to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Use consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers to prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety.

Requirements:

BLS required. Must know if CLN worked in the hospital system. Registered CT Tech or 2 years' experience doing CT scans. New York State DOH Licensed to inject contrast media. Siemens scanner proficient. This position also requires the employee to do X-rays.

Dress Code:
Scrubs, any color.

Schedule Notes:
13 week contract, 12H Nights, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
