Fiber Infrastructure GIS Expert Wanted

Visionary Communications LLC is seeking a highly skilled FME Developer - GIS Data Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing fiber builds and maintaining accurate plant maps and data.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze datasets to design fiber builds.
• Maintain accurate plant maps and data, including partner assets such as duct, conduit, strand, primary and secondary lines, and poles.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify prospective customers and ingest data collected via mobile apps into the GIS.
• Create and maintain wireless coverage models, and analyze new potential tower opportunities.
• Coordinate with regulatory teams on reporting requirements and assist grant teams with analyzing potential grant opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in GIS, Cartography, Geography, Remote Sensing, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).
• Experience with geospatially aware databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Salary Range: $25.18 - $31.73 per hour
