Clinical Pharmacist Specialist: Akron and Aultman NICU

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is responsible for all drug distribution and control activities for the assigned patient care area. Key responsibilities include evaluating, processing, and monitoring physician orders for patient medications and other pharmaceutical supplies. This role serves as a clinical resource for healthcare teams, providing expertise in medication management and ensuring patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and process physician orders for patient medications and pharmaceutical supplies
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of medication inventory and usage
- Provide clinical guidance and support to healthcare teams on medication management and patient safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- PharmD or equivalent degree
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Ohio
- Experience in clinical pharmacy practice, preferably in a neonatal intensive care unit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
