Job Summary

HCA Healthcare's East Florida Division is seeking a highly skilled medical education leader to fill the role of Graduate Medical Education Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and oversee residency and fellowship programs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration of ACGME-accredited programs and ensure compliance with ACGME Institutional, Common, and specialty/subspecialty-specific Program Requirements.
  • Lead the local GME team in improving the educational quality of each program and creating a positive culture and outstanding experience for residents and fellows.
  • Monitor changes in ACGME accreditation standards and requirements and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Division VP of GME and corporate GME leadership to improve program quality and compliance.
  • Have the opportunity to work in a clinical setting and engage with national GME-related professional organizations.
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or other Doctorate-level degree.
  • Prior experience as a DIO, program director, or other GME administrative role is highly preferred.
  • Experience in undergraduate medical education administration or other healthcare industry administration may be considered.
  • Specialty board certification and eligibility for a license to practice medicine in Florida is required.
