Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support under the guidance of a registered nurse. Your duties will include assisting with patient care activities, recording data, and performing treatments and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.

You will work closely with our interprofessional care team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will also be responsible for mentoring new hires, training and orienting others, and contributing to departmental initiatives to improve quality and safety standards.

This role may involve travel to conduct home visits, and you will be required to prioritize tasks efficiently, manage your time effectively, and contribute towards department financial targets.
