Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and skilled Permanent Employment Litigation Associate to enhance our legal team.
This position presents an exciting opportunity to manage intricate employment litigation cases, offering expert counsel and guidance to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of employment law, with a proven history of overseeing litigation cases from inception to resolution.
This role necessitates exceptional capabilities in drafting, revising policies, and presenting motions in both state and federal courts.Key Responsibilities:
As our Employment Litigation Associate, your duties will encompass:
- Managing a diverse range of employment litigation cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
- Effectively responding to pleadings and overseeing discovery processes.
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Arguing motions and representing clients in both state and federal court settings.
- Providing expert legal advice on labor and employment law to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating with fellow legal team members to devise strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
- Staying informed on developments in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in employment litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in responding to pleadings and managing discovery.
- Proven ability to handle litigation matters from start to finish.
- Strong experience in drafting and revising employee handbooks.
- Experience arguing motions in state and federal courts.
- In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
