We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our team at Montezuma Winery Llc. As a Staff Engineer, Performance and Capacity, you will play a critical role in optimizing the performance and capacity of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement high-performance computing solutions to improve scalability and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency initiatives and develop tooling to automate processes
- Develop and lead automation to help capacity plan for both near and long-term needs
- Work closely with software engineers to reduce cloud resource consumption and improve performance
- Partner with engineering teams to conduct capacity and performance experiments to resolve potential performance bottlenecks
- Present efficiency opportunities and project cost savings to senior leadership
- Familiarity with HPC clusters, compute platforms, and resource contention tradeoff experience
- 8+ years of experience in capacity or performance engineering role
- 5+ years of experience managing teams
- Expert application performance experience
- Expert knowledge of various public cloud providers
- Expert with data modeling for public cloud
- Expert with budgeting and capacity planning experience
- Expert in SQL, Python, scripting, and building automation tools
- Self-disciplined and thrives in fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication skills
