Job Summary

The Medical Center of Aurora is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN House Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of clinical activities during your assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee nurse staffing and ensure adequate numbers and types of nursing personnel to care for patients.
  • Review patient care daily, visit patients regularly, and make suggestions to improve care.
  • Demonstrate understanding of budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.
  • Participate in monitoring, coaching, evaluating, and disciplining process.
  • Ensure timely admission of patients from Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Direct Admissions, and Access Center.
  • Respond as patient advocate during off-hours to patient concerns and report interactions to Patient Advocacy Department.
  • Respond to all CODE/RRT situations throughout the facility.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
  • Current PALS certification required.
  • At least two years acute care/specialty nursing experience desirable in area of specialty. At least one-year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position.
