Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Counselor, you will provide top-notch behavioral health care to patients in a dynamic and innovative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement counseling/therapy for assigned patients in individual and group settings.
  • Interview and assess patients and/or their family members, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.
  • Determine, provide, and/or arrange for needed internal and external services/interventions.
  • Participate in and/or arrange case reviews/care conferences to evaluate progress.
  • Assist with discharge planning and processes, including identification of community-based resources, and provide referrals as part of the discharge plan.
  • Utilize appropriate teaching methods and/or referrals to ensure patient/family educational needs are met.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC-C), Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFT-C), Social Work Candidate (SWC), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
  • Licensed Addiction Counselor.
